Meta seem to be putting more focus on original content and reducing the reach of copied or lightly edited posts.
Has anyone noticed a real difference on their pages?

From my point of view original content tends to have higher possibilities for getting regular exposure while repurposing content can be effective adding value by creating something original seems to be more pertinent at the moment.

I'm not sure if this works 100%, as there are many unique videos with the same source in my feed.

I've noticed original reels can perform better especially when they offer something genuinely useful or entertaining. Reused content may still get views but adding real value through your own ideas editing or presentation seems more sustainable.

Original content always attracts a better number of viewers than copied content because Meta evaluates the entertainment and quality of the first video, later videos will have fewer interactions and viewers. I believe that original content is becoming increasingly important, especially content that delivers genuine value or drives organic engagement. Simply reposting or making minor edits to existing content no longer seems to yield the same high level of effectiveness as it once did.

This is not something new, original content tends to perform better than repurposed content. If you make the video more engaging with crisp cuts and face pace editing, you might stand a chance like original content. They will look into the factor of how many people watched the entire video, when it has a good rate, Meta will push that content despite the fact it's a repurposed one.

I only post my original content and I suggest doing the same. The best you can hope for when reposting is for equal reach, but at the same time you're advertising for free another person's account.

That's absolutely right. The new algorithm is prioritizing the distribution of original content, while re-uploaded clips or rehashed content are experiencing a significant drop in engagement.

I've seen similar discussions lately. Original Reels do seem to be getting better reach, while reposted or lightly edited content can struggle more.

Yeah, I've definitely noticed better reach on fully original Reels compared to reposts. Meta's algorithm seems to favor fresh content with unique hooks and longer watch time. Still, engagement quality matters more than just being original.

I think it also depends on the page’s number of followers or likes. Even original videos may not get much reach if they don’t have those supporting factors.

However, I have seen that original Reels receive more consistent reach, especially when the opening seconds are good. Editing of an existing video may be effective, but making the Reel unique will make it perform even better in terms of reach.

I have noticed that too. Original Reels seem to het better initial reach, especially when the content feels genuinely native rather than just recycled with minor edits. Still consistency and engagement matter a lot.

Today AI is everywhere so creatin orginal content is harder then before prefering only original content is not fair i think so lol. so meta should have to understand it. but yeah original content is still on top.
