I've heard COUNTLESS stories from people on both sides and I wanted to share a definitive answer from Matt Cutts: nofollow links are irrelevant and ONLY good for driving traffic.

They're only irrelevant for SEO juice as far as Google is concerned, I think Bing and Yahoo still count them

Google ignores nofollow. Bing/Yahoo on the other hand...no one knows. They don't have a Matt Cutts to make YouTube videos and answer webmaster questions lol.

Remember that the new Disavow Tool of Google works adding a "nofollow" attribute to the links that you send, so... anyway, I will keep doing nofollow links for the second tier of my campaigns. Don't leave the nofollow sites
