Are niche sites still profitable?

Hello everyone my friends,
I am planning to start a journey soon. I currently have a small passive income from selling e-books, but it's not sustainable. I get little profit for a lot of work. I don't know, maybe he's making a mistake somewhere.

I am considering getting into the niche site space to increase my passive income and diversity. Do you think niche site will still be profitable in 2025? (I don't expect an exaggerated profit. I am aware of that.)

Also, is there a niche site service that you have purchased before that you can recommend? Thank you for your answer in advance.

Yes, it's profitable, but you don’t want to come off as a niche website. Finding an informational niche is tough these days, so the best approach is to go for a local niche and maybe even start a physical business.

I am a computer engineering student. That's why I spend most of my day on the computer. It doesn't seem logical for me to attempt any physical work at this point. I understand what you mean by local. I prepared to make a list of websites that could be niche in my country, but then I think it would be more beneficial for me to have a worldwide (English language) website.
 
As a student, you can use your knowledge and find a niche for a specific tool that people are looking for.

You could focus on providing a new online tool or an improved one. There are also many online tools that have little competition, such as calculators.

Take a look.

Thanks for the advice. I think I could find some gadgets that I think will have less competition, like calculators, etc., and publish them.
 
Of course niche sites can still be extremely profitable, it just depends on what you do with them.
For eg. if you place some google ads, or some affiliate links and call it a day, it's not going to do much.
But if you manage to build an email list of loyal subscribers who look forward to digesting the content you put out each day, your profit potential can be enormous.

Yes you can start a niche site, still profitable. Monetize it with adsense and or an affiliate network. What kind of ebooks are you selling yours or leaked?

The books are about local things where I am. Why is it not profitable for me? -> (Since I write the books in my own language, there are very few buyers. English is not my native language. Since it is local, there are not many buyers. Also, very few e-books are read where I am.)

Is there a paid service or course/content you would recommend for your niche site?

I have a budget, but it's small. Does it make sense to buy a ready-made niche site from people who provide niche services on the forum to speed things up? Or do I have to do it myself from scratch?

Of course, it's profitable. In 2025, you just need to adopt the latest strategy and acquire new skills, that's it.

Forget buying a niche site, you can build one in hours if you know what you're doing. Automation is the key, but you gotta do it right otherwise, you’ll just end up with another AI-generated ghost town.


For content, I use SEOwriting, Autoblogger AI, and plugins like Autobol. If you want more control, SEO Content Machine is solid, and GPT-4o does the job for most content needs. If you're more technical, Hugging Face APIs are a goldmine.


And here’s my best advice: don’t stick to just one niche. Test multiple ones at once—some will flop, but the winners will make up for it.

I really appreciate your detailed answer. I am studying computer engineering. I think I can do something with AI. Maybe I will buy a niche site just to learn how things work once. Then I will try to do it myself. Because it is probably not sustainable to buy niche sites all the time. Once I understand things well, I can focus on more than one field.
