Are niche-relevant guest posts performing better than general blogs?

While working in guest posting and outreach recently, I’ve started noticing that niche-relevant blogs often seem to perform better than large general blogs, even when the metrics are lower.

When the content matches the site’s topic and audience, the placement feels more natural and sometimes rankings move more steadily.

Just sharing an observation from recent campaigns. Curious if others here are seeing better results from niche-focused sites compared to general blogs.
Totally agree! Niche-relevant sites often outperform big general blogs. Links feel more natural and rankings improve more steadily when content matches the audience

If you want conversion from the traffic, then niche relevant guest posts will work for you, but if you only want some traffic or SEO value then general high authority sites are good to go

yeah that’s something a lot of people are noticing lately. niche relevant sites often perform better because the context actually matches the topic, so the link sends stronger relevance signals. large general blogs may have higher metrics, but if they publish content across many industries the impact of a single link can be weaker.
in many cases a smaller niche blog with real traffic and focused content moves rankings more steadily than a high metric site that posts about everything.

topical authority is everything now google is clearly rewarding low level specific links and high level general blogs under relevant categories

If you want to target audience within your niche then of course you should go for niche relevant but if you only want some good authority, ranking or traffic on your sites then any site with good metrics can make it done.

I prefer niche blogs because the topic matches my site, that usually make the backlink look more natural to the search engines.
