When the content matches the site’s topic and audience, the placement feels more natural and sometimes rankings move more steadily.

And how recent were your recent campaigns exactly?
And did you notice this across all niches, or only across some of them (which ones)?

I also notice this constantly on projects: niche sites perform completely differently than regular links. It's not just the link itself. Google looks at the entire surrounding environment: adjacent content, related keywords, internal links on similar topics. And when all of this is linked to a single topic, the link appears in a completely different context than if it were on a general blog with articles on everything. This explains the stability. Rankings from such links last longer and fluctuate less. Moreover, DR isn't the most important factor here, even DR 30 on a thematically related site can easily yield more than DR 60 on a site about everything. Thematic relevance really outweighs this.
