Any kind of link placement is generally against the search engines' TOS. Just like Guest Posts, Niche Edits technically violate the TOS but are safe and widely used.

They are mostly ok but IMO there are still some risks and I wouldn't buy them on a new site without a (relatively) strong foundation.

while it works i question how long will it work... like for example, the niche edit is on a page older than my moneysite. It just seems to me that G can make a simple tweak and then i would be immediately penalized
