Are my posts not hitting explore?

Hello there, BHW.

Recently, about a week ago I re-started my page on IG that I left to gain dust one year ago because now I have some time. It currently has a little bit under 600 followers (the page was left to rot for about a year, so I assume those followers are really inactive or bots)

The thing is that when I check the insights of my posts most of the impressions are coming from hashtags.

I have two questions right now:

Are my posts even hitting explore? Are the views from explore shows in the "From Other" section?
Should I continue this page or start a new fresh one? (I have a couple of aged accounts [1-2 years old] and I'm not sure if I should do the mother / slave method with 1 mother and 2 childs or start the page on a fresh account and have 1 mother and one child account) Is it possible that this page is seen as bad by IG? (I've had a little bit of fun with this page in 2018 with SMM Panels and Jarvee, is it possible that this page might be shadow-restricted in some areas because of that?)

I hope my questions doesn't sound stupid

1. Views from explore will show under "From Explore", so none of your posts hit explore.
2. If I were you; I would start over completely and sell the current page for like 5-10$. Mother/slave method is not recommended from me tbh. You can have like 60 slaves and still your main will only gain like 30-40 followers / day. Not worth the time and money you put into it imo.

Hashtags are as important as explore page and if your page manages to get reach from hashtags, just repeat and improve what you're already doing and you'll see great results.
I think it would be a mistake to sell this page. The key to success is consistency and you can definitely get a lot more followers organically than using M/S (using great content & targeted hashtags).

This was a test page for SMM Panels and other things I’ve bought in the past. 38 hours ago an order of 100 followers came in (testing services response time) and from then on my posts wouldn’t exceed 50 views and 5 likes, even tho I’m using the same hashtags as before (more or less). Before the order came through I would hit around 1k views with ~200 likes.

To my understanding, you have been on the Instagram grind previously but quit and now want to try again (?).

Here's my biggest advice for you right now: DON'T use anything shady, SMM panels, automation, powerlikes, NOTHING. Simply try growing organically, or if you really have to, follow unfollow MANUALLY.

I have a similar question, i have 16.9k followers and about 100 posts, but only reached explore a handful of times. I post my gaming clips as i stream on twitch, but my engagement reaches only 2-3k. The explore page would help me tremendously but i cant seem to get on it. I get about 500+ views per post and 15-20 comments each. Is there anything we should be doing differently to reach the explore page, smaller hashtags?

I'm no expert in Instagram, far from it. But if you have 16.9k followers and you're only getting 500 views / post then you're doing something wrong. I'm getting more than that with a little bit under 600 followers and 98% of them aren't my followers. You can try @Nicknames hashtag tool, it helped me tremendously. (You have to read his thread here and request the hashtag tool in that thread)

Posts most likely resulted from people surfing through the hashtags you used, but not necessarily hitting the explore page.

Ironically i have been using his tool since lurking around here for a while, more specifically the gaming section. I do post once a week so that might be the issue, but my content is homemade so its a little harder to come by. I am also not shadow banned since i see my posts in the hashtags and do get views from them in my insights. I just dont know what I'm doing wrong then.

You know that has been my situation as well with my last 2 posts. In the last 3 before that I've had 800-1k views with 150-200 likes and around 5 new followers / post. same! i used social captain a while ago until the fall of automation... stopped all that and played the manual f/uf game since.. maybe our scores have dropped since? Not even sure where to begin, im gonna try to post twice a week and see how that does once i get unblocked currently, thanks to unfollowing 300 ppl in a day.. (thats my fault)

My views / likes / reach started dropping exactly after an order of 100 followers came in (testing smm response time[I ordered them 3-4 days before that, SMM Panels suck]) so that must be it. I'm posting twice a day so I don't think it's about how much you post. I've also been unfollowing manually 50 people / day.

Just to add to your topic, explorer can indeed show as other. When it's showing hashtags as a separate category. Also keep in mind on your content, you might hit the explor page but drop off quickly.
In the end there is limited space on the explor page and we are all fighting for a spot on there. Hence why you see all these clickbaits and red arrows popping up.

Oddly enough, I have some accounts like that too - while I see those accounts in explore page from my other page.

Maybe they are hiding it in some locations / etc. Being apart of the whole "focus on your content, not likes/reach/explore/etc." Campaign they started after hiding likes , imi
