Are my affiliate links hijacked?

Hey there fellow BHW's.

I searched through the forum but could not find much about an issue I am having with one of my websites.

I noticed a drop in commissions for a couple of affiliate offers that I am promoting and found that when I clicked the links on my website instead of sending me to the offer landing page I get redirected to something else entirely.

Anyone have experience with this?

yeah sounds like your link has been hijacked, or your website has been infected with something

Check the page source. Is the link, the right link or is it something else entirely different. Possible if you're using themes and/or plugins downloaded from unofficial sources.

did traffic drop, or just commissions? could be whatever you're promoting set it up so people outside of a specific GEO location will go somewhere else....ask your AM about it.
if you try to go directly to your link (copy+paste it ) does it still get hijacked?

Thanks for the quick feedback.

Just for kicks, i removed the old affiliate links and replaced them with new and they now send me to the offer lander and show my affiliate code. So from that point of view it "appears" to fix the issue.

I dont know though if thats a permanent fix. Meaning, if they were hijacked before then they are still at risk.

Any ideas on how to prevent this?

Hey there, thanks for the response.

I noticed just a drop in commissions. Traffic has been steady.

When I clicked the affiliate link from my website, I was sent briefly to a wallpaper website, and redirected yet again to some website called "review masters". Not sure that that site is, but its no where related to my niche.

I meant to add that when I copy/paste my affiliate link into a browser it sends me to the offer.

old and new affiliate links? it should be the same link unless your network was doing some updating and gave you new links...sounds like something an AM might be able to clear up
