So my main channel has over 225k subs and we make between 4-8k a month. Well BBTV has been after us for years and through extensive research, I find a ton of people saying they are terrible, with few saying they are good. Well my partner has been talking to them and they claim that was the old days and they have fewer people now, etc, etc.

they want 80/20 split (they offered 90/10 before) so i would get that changes if i did do it. also, they are offering just 6 months instead of the usual year.

as i try to research now, i dont see much new in the way of reviews. i assume that is because of all the smaller networks being purged.

do any of you have a more recent opinion on mcn's, and specifically bbtv? I really am still thinking no, but feel it is only fair to look into it again

From my perspective and the conversations I have with a variety of my clients, there doesn't ever seem to be anything positive said about their MCN. Several of them are with FullScreen, though I do have one with BBTV.

I don't deal with MCNs myself but it does seem like they are on the decline and it's better to just go directly through YPP and then work directly with a salesperson that can get you brand deals on a commission basis. But those people only would be doing that for super large channels. There was actually some good comments in this reddit thread about that topic:

Why do you want to join an MCN? You already make good money through youtube adsense no?

i dont necessarily want to be. my partner on the channel keeps bringing it up because they keep pestering him. i have done research forever it seems and never really find anyone who endorses them. i havent looked in a couple years, but when they came at him this time they said things have changed. but i still dont see any positive reviews. i am just researching it again and so far nothing seems to have changed.
