Are long URLs harmful for SEO

The new site I'm working on will be using physical silos that will go 4-5 levels deep, meaning that URLs will be long for some articles.

URL example: mysite.com/america/mexico/tulum/what-to-see-in-tulum

Does it have any negative impact on SEO?

It looks great, neat. Ordered. I don't think it will affect, but not really sure.
Did you add breadcrumbs?
 
It should not like harmful but this is not a good practice all the time. But yes it has some importance in site architecture.

So both good and bad.
 
It has its pros and cons, not bad in SEO as though, it can look ugly sometimes.

While it doesn't add up weight to copy, people are often reluctant to share long URLs than short ones.
 
that's not a long URL lol, you should see URLs that spread across 3-4 lines of text :D

Anyway, they don't affect SEO, and if you're going to make them like in your example they're actually great (because they're well structured)
 
if you want to see a long url check wikipedia, amazon and google those urls sometimes go crazy long, short urls look better when sharing the url and your keywords can get messed with long urls how bad will depend your niche and how long the url is, personally keep it short and the one you have is a short url is not even close to be a long url
 
long url is bad for SEO max 3 level deep on menu as sample http://www.domain.com/california/losangeles/
using domain.com/what-you-think-what-your-mother-think-about-you-and-your-girl is BAD and avoid
 
Long URLs with a clear structure, like /america/mexico/tulum/what-to-see-in-tulum, can be good for SEO because they show a logical hierarchy and include relevant keywords.
However, avoid making URLs too long or complex.
Keep them concise and relevant to the content.
Ensure solid internal linking to help search engines crawl all pages.
While deep URLs aren’t harmful, try to keep important pages within 3-4 clicks from the homepage for easier indexing.
 
Just make sure the URLs aren't too long or stuffed with keywords. Keep them readable and user-friendly.
 
As long the url is relevent to your content is good for seo
