Are links from HuffPost, Forbes, etc. "worth it"?

I feel yes they really worth because these high quality links give one better trust flow to the website which is linked and can give good PA DA also.

The real advantage to these types of links is credibility and using them as parasites of a sort. Got an internal page on the Huff Post titles something related to your niche? Good, you should rank it in the SERPs with backlinks... trust me, you can throw the kitchen sink at it, and it will do just fine.

Now you have a property ranking in the SERPS talking about your site/product/service which 1. will bring you more traffic. 2. has SEO value in that a property ranking for keywords X,Y,Z is linking to your site also trying to rank for X,Y,Z; and that has power to it.... especially if its a D0Follow link (for SEO, for traffic potential it makes no diff if its d0follow or nofollow, you just want the eyes on your post).

James nailed it right on the head there.

Are these valuable in your SEO and IM, absolutely; just know how to use them.

Are they worth $1200 .... shit no..... unless you have a big-time client willing to spend that much for their company image; in which case charge them $3,000 for it!

For my own sites and projects $50 - $100 would be the max I'm willing to spend on these types of posts; and they would need to be perfectly written to justify that cost.

Those are my 2cents on the matter.

Yes definitely. They are authority sites so that means more readers.

If they're high Domain Authority and the article is guaranteed at least a thousand views (A big factor at play here is the author writing the article) then it's probably going to be worth it - You'll get social links of the article, and a ton of other sites naturally pick up articles from the likes of HuffPost and Forbes too.

Obviously they're going to 'help' your cause, but like a lot of guys here have already outlined, you have to question whether at $1,000 a pop if it's worth it. If you're an ambitious brand making tons of money and cash to burn, then sure, buy some strategical PR articles on these websites, it'll help.

But for 90%, look elsewhere, because it's certainly no quick fix to your problems.

In other words, If you can afford it. these kind of links are more for solid website.

I was a frequent buyer of high authority links here on BHW. As others pointed out, these links are of high value if you have deep pockets and want to expose your brand to create a huge online presence.

I think depend on your target market or visitors and your website main focus content

HAHAHA so much win in this sentence. I agree, not worth 1.2k but definitely has value there. Why won't anyone be attracted to sites with good DA, it's when prices are absurb that I get turned off ...

I would rather spend $1200 on my PBN to add some niche-specific & country specific domains. But yes links from such websites will be helpful for branding and exposure, however I would adopt for my own PBN when I already have $12K to spend

Hey man, may I know of some of the services you use in the $50-100 area? Really interested in checking them out. Most of the ones I find seem overpriced. Thank you :)
