Are links from Google Places more trusted?

Are backlinks that come from websites with verified Google Places listings more trusted than regular websites? I ask because I have the ability to make quite a few verified Google Places, and I'm wondering if it might be worthwhile to create a verified listing for each of the websites in the top tier of my link pyramid. Thoughts?

I am not sure about links being more trusted? In theory I would say yes but have not evidence to back it up.

However if you can create multiple verified google places that stick and rank there are plenty of opportunities. If your interested in selling this service please PM me.

probably its worth it more as not many people are using this method .. so my opinion is yes integrate it and use it into your link strategies (y)
and share with your black hat roommates how this works

I would think they would be; but I cannot say for certain since I have not tried.

Nothing takes the place of testing, so give it a run.

Google places usually shows up earlier in the SERPS due to the rich snippet placement, also verifying your location with Google places does open some additional control over your exposure and reach in the search engine. It is also preferential if you uses adwords as it allows you to extend the ad bit to be more eye catching
