Whenever I post a link, impressions tank. Does X still suppress link tweets, or is it just me? Any workarounds to get normal reach?

Links still hurt reach on X because the algorithm favors native content. To work around it, try adding context or threading your link instead of dropping it alone. Use URL shorteners sparingly and focus on engaging captions.

if you spam the link many and many time you can def get shadowbanned specuially if u link is bad contents

I’ve noticed better results by posting the content as text or image first then adding the link in a reply or the comments.

Yeah, posting links can lower visibility since X prioritizes in-platform content. A better approach is to mix links with valuable text, images, or polls to keep engagement high while sharing your URL.

I read a short while ago that the algorithm 'punishes' tweets with links, as Elon wants everybody to remain on the platform.

I can tell you right now from posting links for around 15 years now, that links get around 10% of the traffic that they did around 10 years ago.

It's not just Elon, the algo has tweaked to reduce impressions on links for some time.

yeah, links still hurt reach badly. I’ve tested a few things - like putting the link in the first comment or using redirect/short URLs - it helps a little but not much. native posts with screenshots + short CTA text seem to perform way better

Link posts still seem to get less reach yes X favors native content Try posting without the link first then add it in a reply or use a screenshot with the URL in the image caption for better visibility

Short URL vs Long URL makes no difference.
