I watch a video on youtube (income school). he says " There's no keywords research tools show exact number of search volume? What's you guys opinion on this?

It could be argued all tools are useless if the person who is using them doesn't know how to do so.

People often say if you're looking for results on Google, use their KW planner, but even them people mistake high / low competition etc.

Once you have a hang of searching local vs global, choosing which language etc then you have a better understanding of KW research.

No Keyword Research tools can give you EXACT search volume. Because they don't have access to Google's database.

Even Google themselves don't show exact search volume in decimals. They're all approximate.

This is how your desktop will look if they give you EXACT data.

Yes you can, of course you should do your own due diligence

In my opinion they are absolutely imperative for setting up new projects & going after a laser targeted demographic.

I would agree with MisterF when he says it can be argued they are ALL useless, however that is only true up until a point where it is all about HOW you use them. I particularly utilize tools like UberSuggest in order to identify more unique long term kw options, which helps diversify your reach. If you are simply copy & pasting the top results like everyone in your competition, then it is pointless, you have to think outside the box & really dig to find those golden kw combos pertaining to your niche.

If you have strong relevant backlinks, kw tools will definitely help you to rank better. Otherwise, even work very low competitive kw, it will be hard to rank. Btw, income school channel is for Niche sites. Their suggestions won't work for Authority or broad niche sites.

it what you have faith in what works for you.

adwords is the real deal ...

Especially the free KW Planner tool it comes with~ I will usually plug in my UberSuggest results into the KW Planner & create my various ad groups for A/B testing from there.

Diversity is the key when it comes to kw's - don't just copy what your competitors are doing, as easy as it may seem, creativity coupled with amazing content injected w/ your targeted kw's is what pays off! Don't cut corners, take your time, and don't be afraid to try going after new or unorthodox kw strings!

USELESS you guys think ? Ofcourse they not ! They help sharpen and drive at conclusions way faster. An experienced individual knows what he needs to check on SERP, with good knowledge around to make a good valid assertion about a KW . It’s herculean repeating the process thats why these tools comes handy to ease out the stress.

The exact search volume might not really be perfect but gives good idea of what KW you researching and help in making better conclusions.

Since no one answered your second point... some keyword tools have exact keyword estimates and some do not. You can get exact data if you pull directly from the Adwords keyword tool, but it's harder to do that in bulk these days, so a lot of tools have started making their own estimates, some of which are more helpful than others.

Use something like Keysearch or another tool that pulls directly from the Adwords tool if you want to pull live data

If you need bulk estimates of volume, Ahrefs has the most reliable estimates IMO, but I doubt you need this

If you want search volume from Google KW planner, you just need to add one keyword to a group and set your cost per click extremely high.

Search volumes are always historical and rough estimates, don't depend entirely upon them.

Many tools will provide estimates for search volume and competition, Search Volume and competition of many of these tools are generated by the three statics an algorithm, clickstream data, directly from Google. Every tool is different and offers different features. Depending on your goals, pick a tool that will fit your needs.

We can't come to decision all tools are useless, each tool has its uniqueness. All tools show more or less the same value of search volume IMO.

Yes sure no keyword tool can give you the exact number. It's just that how much closer it can show and we use keywords tool to get an idea of the competition it has in the market.

They are definitely useful if you know how to use them.

not a single tool is useless
you just need to know the proper use :)
