Are Instagram reels easier for targeting US audience?

I know that TikTok is very hard to target US audience if you're outside US. I heard they shadowbanned accounts even if you use correct proxies etc.

Is Instagram a different story? Is it easier to target US audience with reels?

Reels are easier to reach people from all of the countries on IG including USA.

It depends on the kind of contents you share.

From my experience it's a matter of being "lucky", just post content that could be interesting for people based in the US and hope the algorithm is in your favour.

Meta apps have geo targetting enabled based on your content. If you use English reels involving US topics it will reach US audience (Atleast my blog Facebook page is doing so).

From my experience if you pick a niche that is popular in the US both platforms can get you reach in US, i have 280k on TT 65% US and 15k on IG atm about 40% US and i live in Greece.
