Feels like CPMs keep going up while creatives burn out way faster than before.

Are you guys still getting good ROI from IG ads in 2026, or is organic + influencer traffic becoming the better play now?

It depend on niche and Instagram ads are not getting harder to convert in some niches which are prohibited to promote with the app, it is advise to use method to generate convert on promotion offers.

It’s become harder to generate sales through Instagram ads, even compared to just a short while ago. The CPM cost has gone up. I think there’s been an algorithm update. I’m pausing my ads for a while

Today, the core of a successful campaign lies in possessing the best visual resources. When advertising materials resonate with customers, every subsequent operational step becomes easier and more efficient than ever before.

Yeah ads still work, but they’re not as easy as before. CPMs are higher and creatives burn out fast now. The best results seem to come from mixing ads with organic content and influencer traffic instead of relying only on paid ads.

What niche you have?

Also Reels, Organic and Influencer Marketing is way better now, Meta wants you to pay more and more for basic results so that they can fill their pockets and keep you engaged in their ads loop, Pretty old shit strategy that they have been doing.

It depends on your niche. However, in general, whitehat niches still perform well as blackhat niches get banned quickly. You should test many creatives as well ans go with the profitable one. Don't make the mistake of just using only 1 creative even if it performs well.

Instagram ads still work in 2026, but CPM is higher and weak creatives die fast. Best results now come from combining ads + organic content + micro influencers/UGC. Pure paid traffic is harder than before

Instagram ads still offer good ROI, but require a "hybrid" strategy instead of just running traditional ads. Due to high CPMs and users quickly becoming bored with ads, the optimal solution now is a combination: leveraging organic traffic and influencers to create authentic short video content. Then, you use this highly engaging organic content to run paid ads. This combination helps reduce CPMs, optimize costs, and retain customers more effectively.

I think you should try creating high-quality content, especially short videos (Reels), instead of ads. This will help you attract viewers more easily.
i still go with high quality content but the alg is really hard to pursue viral :( it really depends on ig'bias

Definitely IG is getting harder to get profit now, maybe try to think about change platform to make profit, i think tiktok is a promising platform that we can change to (of couse the story really depends on your niche of content)

It is due to the fact that creators are making more engaging content and improving every day, while ads haven’t adapted in the same way. People get bored of ads quickly. You can try influencer marketing.

simple images or basic videos are not enough anymore. to profit consistently, brands need professional visuals, storytelling, and interactive formats like reels, or shopable posts.

Meta has always been a mess especially around new updates (which are a constant tbh). Always monitor closely your campaigns and experiment - recent updates are pushing users to use more creatives rather than audience segments so wider sometimes actually gives better results and yet again, you'd need to be testing out creatives. Different ad accounts also give different results - really depends on how the algorithm catches the wave... It's a wild chasing game but often it's worth it.

Nothing can compare with Ads if you are scaling its always going to be #1 but yes its more expensive than before and you need a service or product worth promoting and serious budget.
