Are High PR ******** Blog comments safe for Tier 1?

Put your tier 1s on pages that are not open to abuse. Blog comments are definitely a risk, they might be good for a start, but as soon as they have had enough OBLs, you may start seeing negative impacts.

Yeah, the last Penguin update really devalued blog comments, and too many can get you in trouble now. They're really not worth the time or money when you can get SAPE links for the same price if not cheaper and have WAY less OBLs.
 
I don't like building links that could potentially become spam - riddled in the future. Just because the OBL count is (let's say) 5 right now, doesn't mean that 100 more people can't comment on the same page with their links. Just my opinion at least. I like to have as much control as possible over my tier 1 links!

Few time I ordered blog comments (high pr) and my sites loose all their rankings. When I did them myself, it was ok, but only when i didn't do more than just a few per day on pages I found myself.

I guess it is the best to do comments as T2. It is the safest way to do this.
 
you can do on tier 1 and you will see the effect. :) try to do it manuallny not spammy and use relevant comment text
 
It's little confusing some says blog commenting good for tier1 and some says no

How many blog comments are ok or good in tier 1?

Can we do high pr social bookmarking as tier 1?
