Are High PR ******** Blog comments safe for Tier 1?

Hello, I see many services for high pr do follow blog comments on here. Im wondering if you use them for say raw url or generics can they be ok to point towards your money site? What kind of OBL should I be looking for in terms of not spammy? IF anyone has some advice or what service is good id appreciate it! I hear mixed reviews of to use them and not too so just wanted to hear what the community thinks!

nah... i wont do any blog comment has tier 1, i dont think those blogs comments are strong, i think wiki and blog comments are a big no no...
 
Blog comments and wikis are best as tier 2 back-ups to the web 2.0 properties you set up to give those tier 1 links good overall authority. Fattening those properties with authority also gives you great flexibility, to point links from the property to both the main money page, and to the subpages. The properties can also point to social media profile pages that have do-follow links (ike Google+) going to the money site.

In one example, the money site could have 20 good PR/PA links coming to it through a mix of manual sources on tier 1, 20 good PR/PA links from web 2.0s/wikis that got their boosted authority from blog comments, and 20 good links from its own high PA subpages. This is good, natural looking link variety that will elevate a site's rankings with few problems.

Thats awesome so if their manual on High pr sites you would recommend it for T1? What would you recommend as far as OBL?
 
OBL should ideally be in the single digits, say 5-6 max in the best scenario. Failing that, a few dozen outbound links are tolerable for a medium PR/PA links. Beyond that, it's hard to get any good link PR transferred, where the OBLs are closer to 100 or beyond; keep in mind that whether the blog comments are automated or manually posted, too many subsequent OBLs from other directions will dilute their value.
 
I think too much blog comments hurt rankings now, even if they are low obl, high pr.
if a big percentage of your backlink profile is blog comments, that's not natural.
so do everything including some blog comments.
 
Quality comments I think are effective and will be forever.
Even lower quality ones still have power, but probably a matter of time before G hits it.
 
Would you aim the quality high pr ones at your money site if you needed to dilute anchors?
 
Don't use blog comments for 1st tier links. better try to use them for 2nd tier.
 
If you are doing it manually on sites with low OBL and good content, it will do good.. But dont expect to rank by buying blog comments or using scrapebox for blog commenting with you link to too many websites. It will only make your SEO worse.

Blog commenting is also a good way of building links. But you have to be a pro to make it work perfectly for tier-1. If you are not good at using them, kindly avoid it.
 
Forget the PR, IMO. Do a search for the keyword you want to rank and if there are any blogs ranking w/ comments enabled in the top 100, comment on those, nofollow or do, as long as they are low obl. I would keep your link profile diverse though, of course. Other comments I'd use for t2/t3 except in rare scenarios.
 
May one of the veterans here shortly explain what OBL stands for?

Out bound links-How many links on one page that are linking somewhere else.

I'd concur, and add that if you don't have GSA, SB, and are not paying for Fiverr or BST gigs to get the backlinks, you can forge ahead free and manually as suggested above, using just a browser with add-ons. Just set up Firefox or Chrome with SEO Quake, Moz and the Majestic SEO toolbars/plugins, and look up the top 100 blogs on Google under your niche, to find the high PA ones with comments enabled. The three tools will quickly identify which ones to concentrate on (SEO Quake can also show you which links are no follow, displaying them with lines crossing them out).
 
Dismissing all blog comments as spam does make no sense at all.

After all, that's the nature of the real "websites" and "webmasters".

I mean, in real world (lol) people in the same niche tend to interact with each other, and that happens through forums like this and through comments on each others blogs.

As long as the comments are legit, related to the content on the page (not some "me like this post, will come again" kinda thing) and possibly adding something to the conversion, you can even gain direct traffic.
