I'm new to growing Twitter accounts. I've got scheduled posts and am follow/unfollow/like but should I also be using hashtags in my posts, how many if so?

Use as many relevant and popular hastags as you can. It can only increase your reach.

Hashtags in twitter doesnot adds that much value as like Instagram but are still worthy.
Use relevant tags and you can see increase in reach,
