I was looking into tiered link building as was wondering are goarticles links d0-f0ll0w and is it good to use the site for building backlinks? Thanks

Article directory linking is mostly for traffic potential. So write a good article and hopefully you will get some low bounce traffic, which is an important SEO metric. Using them for ranking keywords is not going to get you far.
