I am promoting freebies from many affiliate networks and am wondering - are they all scams? What is the catch?

No they aren't scams but they require the user to fill out a number of other offers before they get the freebie.
Basically these companies bank off of the fact that the average person will fill out some offers but give up before they actually reach the required number of offers to earn the freebie.

indeed offers needed for those "500$ gift cards " require moeny spent + some free offers , give your CC to 10 different wich has invisible text saying well bill 100$ after 14 day and only way cancel is send letter to china so good luck. Some one said in yahoo answers he didint get the "gift" but who knows

Ok, so the next question is - how do I promote my site? I have made a site which consists of many freebie offers, but I am not sure how to get traffic to it. I can not rely on google traffic because its a competitive niche. Too much competition for my keywords. There arent many yahoo questions on this either. What could you recommend?
I believe there are entire forums/communities built around this. You can get your referrals there pretty fast.
Also, you can try YT marketing ( seen a few vids on this there ) and I've even read a BH technique where you go to some forums and get people to sign up for your offers in exchange for forum points.
My opinion: It's like cheating CPA companies with fake referrers ( most of these guys couldn't care less what they're signing up for ). Not my cup of tea.

Yeah, I don't want to cheat CPA companies. I just want to bring people to my landing page so they sign up naturally if they want. I don't want to persuade them signing up, I just need to get them to my page.

Freebies are definitely not scams...also you gotta be really really lazy to give up and not complete all of the offers. I have gotten a flat screen tv,digital camara,2 ipods, and a couple of gs during the this year from freebie sites. And also I've never sent a letter to cancel the offers..you email them or call them..but lately I haven't been cancelling so they are charging me..but that is my fault..

Yeah. It works. I've gotten a free video game and $30 paypal. You can use a forum called http://www.anything4free.com to trade referrals for cash,other referrals, other goods and services. I banked about $200 via paypal signing up for others sites. Some pay $20-30 for one or two offer completions.
