Maintenance also; telegram too, it's a big competitors, 70/80% of the users are moved into these platforms for mulitple reasons.

telegram are pratically the new forums ERA, just people move for semplicity.

Be very very careful with Telegram.

Because it's the #1 spot for CSAM selling and trading
And it has almost as many content theives and other assorted scammers.

You have to ask yourself if that's the kind of traffic you want coming to your platforms?

Telegram,discord everywhere there are scammer ( also on BHW ), also on other martkeplace ( facebook,instagram,ebay,subito and amazon too ).
Telegram for sure, for his anonimity there is an high concentration of scammer/illegal market ans YES agree with you to be carefull, but like all things.
Forum like BHW are still up and running also for this reason : transparency and lawfullness.

Btw the main point is one: discord and telegram have "take down" the forums market

I would also add that each platform i mentioned has its own precise niche.

Discord for example a lot of BOT market ( music,sneakers and similar services )
Telegram a lot of trading room/signals ecc, illegals stuff,crypto ecc ecc
Reddit it's for everythings
IG/FB a little bit of everything but rendering to TG/discord group too
Ecc ecc for every platforms

It's true that scammers are everywhere BUT....

On Telegram there's a extreme problem with CSAM and it's also used for human trafficking.

In my opinion... There's better places on the Internet than Telegram

Telegram is an horrible place ! Totally agree, argument here it's : forums are not relevant enymore ? One reason it's telegram

Why would someone share his knowledge here for free and not make youtube videos and get some ad revenue? The best tutorial on BHW is mediocre content when comparing to most Youtube tutorials.

Forums still relevant, maybe not getting the traffic they used to have with a lot of people floading but more focused to the people that is really interested and they stay longer.
