Are fake followers bad?

Like the title says, are they bad? i been trying out InstaMacro, and using pretty popular
tags and only gotten about less than 10 real followers, and over a hundred fake, with a few dozen likes, not bad BUT!
will all these fake followers get me banned? does the chances of getting banned go up with fake followers?

i have about 50k fake followers and i have not gotten banned so idk
 
I don't think so. But fake followers are useless if there's no real interaction.
 
Fake followers help your content go viral by giving that authority you need for people to subscribe easier. The content has to be AAA quality for it to be effectively.
 
I know a way to monetize them. I don't use it anymore :) I'll make a thread if someone is interested!
 
fake followers are MOST DEFINITELY BAD! They hurt your chances of making popular page because they never like or comment on your photos!
 
The fake follower are not worth as they don't have the real id so they are no use of it
 
Fake followers are not bad, i have 3 accounts having 25k-32k followers but they are of no use.
 
Fake followers are of no use at all apart from to inflate your rankings and after a period of time the accounts will be suspended for inactivity so unless there being used with a constantly valid email and posting once in a while there pointless.

how is that useless?!

obviously using botted or forced followers, likes, subscribes etc is not going to make you more popular, socially, but the networks like volume and give you exposure, and exposure gets you to the real people.

if you promote content no-one will ever be interested in, then there's no point using fakes, but if you want to get exposure for good quality content, social fakery is the cheapest and quickest way to climb the ranks.
 
why they're bad?
just make your bots like human: write new tweets, retweeting real accounts etc
look at the twitters, whosale followers - some of ther have 500K+ followers and everything fine )
 
They are not bad and good either. They are just followers to show off, else there is no use.
 
Why are you calling them fake? They're all real, they just don't talk much or keep sending you messages. They're quiet friends who help you promote your page!
