Are faceless YouTube channels still profitable in 2026?

I find that high-quality anonymous YouTube videos still attract users. Focusing on content and themes is always well-received. However, uncreative AI videos are struggling.

I still see a lot of people starting faceless channels, especially with AI tools becoming more common now.

For anyone actively running them, are they still profitable long term or getting harder to scale these days?
They are hard to scale but once you have an audience they can be very profitable.

I have one been had it now for about 5 years only making about $520 bucks per month.

Still profitable but way more competitive now
simple ai slideshow channels are getting squeezed hard

The ones doing well usually have strong scripting and real retention focus not just automation

I think they're still profitable, but definitely more competitive than they were a few years ago. The low-effort AI channels seem to struggle now because there's so much of that content. The faceless channels that are doing well usually have a clear niche, good storytelling, or bring something unique instead of just relying on AI to generate everything.

I agree. Faceless channels are still profitable, but the bar is definitely higher now. Viewers seem to reward originality, strong storytelling, and consistent uploads more than whether a creator shows their face. AI can speed up production, but without a unique angle and good editing it's hard to build a loyal audience. Quality and niche selection still make the biggest difference.

Absolutely yes, faceless channels can make good money these days, but YouTube is starting to deal with those faceless AI Slop channels. But high-quality channels can still be found, even if it's AI-generated

I have come to the conclusion that faceless channels may still be viable if one focuses on consistent uploading.
