I still see a lot of people starting faceless channels, especially with AI tools becoming more common now.

For anyone actively running them, are they still profitable long term or getting harder to scale these days?

yes i have seen my friend from asking us money to have the great life now, he was secrectly doing automation on faceless channels but didnt even bother to tell us now he is making $10k/m

Yes, definately faceless channels are still making good money in 2026. but low effort AI spam content is strugling now, you tube is preffering more original nd well edited content.

They are absolutely still profitable, but the barrier to entry is much higher now because YouTube aggressively demonetizes lazy AI spam for 'reused content'. To actually scale and keep monetization, you have to invest heavily in premium, ultra-realistic voiceovers and highly dynamic editing to stand out from the robotic clones.

They are still highly profitable, but the low-effort era is dead. Because of AI tools, everyone and their mom is launching faceless channels now, meaning the competition is insane and standard niches are oversaturated.
If you just generate a basic script, auto-voice it, and push it out, you won't scale. To make good money today, you need top-tier editing, strong storytelling, and unique data/angles. It’s harder to scale because YouTube filters out mass-produced garbage much faster now, but high-quality faceless channels still make bank.

Yes but if you use AI you need to add some value to your videos for YT to monetize you.

Still work well, especially if you find the right niche and make content people actually want to watch.

It really depends on the channel. Some crush in, some flop completely and many get axed before even hitting monetization. From what I've seen, if you put consistent daily work, you can realistically earn 500, 1500, or 2500$\month. It's a grind, not passive income.

I think it's still profitable for 1 or 2 more years then need to do a research for alternative

It's very profitable

but again you need to use it right. In this niche you need to be ready to follow trends

Yes, there are many users with faceless channels generating income, even with AI. The important thing is to provide valuable content and be consistent :)

It still is and will always as long as you create engaging content, the faceless content does evolve in terms of the way the videos are presented and etc, as long as you keep up with ways to engage viewers to your videos, your going to make it!

Faceless channels can still be profitable, but it's definitely more competitive now because AI makes it easier for everyone to create content. The channels that still grow long term usually focus on strong storytelling, unique ideas, or a specific niche instead of mass-produced videos. AI helps with speed, but consistency and quality are what really separate successful channels today.

Nowadays, many faceless YouTube channels are still performing well and generating decent income. Most of them rely heavily on AI-generated content.

Faceless channels can still work but it feels more competitive now than before The channels doing well usually focus on strong research storytelling and consistent quality AI can speed up production but it is rarely enough on its own to build a profitable channel long term

I do not see future of such channels . YouTube has already started to limit reach of such channels.

The number of faceless YouTube channels is still growing every day. At this point, I don't think faceless YouTube is anything new or unknown anymore. The real challenge isn't starting a channel, it's making good money consistently and keeping the channel growing for the long term. I've seen a lot of channels go viral from one or two videos and suddenly gain a lot of traction, but then their following uploads get much lower engagement. That often leads to lower RPMs, and in worse cases, YouTube policy updates or review sweeps can create problems for the channel.
Overall, if you want to build a faceless channel for the long run in 2026, I think choosing a niche that has long-term potential is the most important part. Going viral is one thing, but staying relevant and consistently getting views is a completely different challenge.
