Why should it be? Currently, millions, even billions of YouTube channels with millions of views are not showing their faces. Many popular channels in my country only have audio commentary videos.

You are right, ther is less scope with faceless channels now. Most of the users pursuing such ventures have moved to other ways to make money online like reels.
