Depends on CTR, I managed to send clickbait traffic for £0.005 but only managed £0.30 for sending traffic to my dropshiping test >.<

Like all other ad platforms it depends more on you than on their system. FB ads simply put ads in front of people. How you choose those people and other settings is the key to ROI.

From what I do, they are much cheaper than other types of ads. That said, depends on the niche. I have only promoted click bait stuff, so I cannot tell you what it will be like outside that.
One thing I can say is that the audience is key. I can easily spend 5-10times as much to get the same engagement if I did not spend a ton of time on narrowing down my audience.
If you want to know, test it out, I usually start at $1/day budget to narrow down a bit, move to $5/day narrow down some more, etc. etc.

"Top 10 Celebrities That You Never Knew Were Gay" - Johnny Depps face as the feature image, targeted at the Bi,Trans,Gay,LGBT sort of communities, it caused lots of shit and the advert got taken down from facebook after 2 days but we got shit loads of clicks, IMO it was worth it

If you can't target the audience well, than you will have really really bad results and high costs.

i am not good at FB Ads now, but you say u used FB communities to advertise at? So if i have some parenting website i can make my ad to be shown at some Moms Clubs groups?

Exactly, I would target big blog sites like mumsnet when trying to target mums rather than small groups

Remember the higher the CTR the lower your overall cost, try many variations of each advert, with small test amounts e.g. $2 tests. Thats what we did, if you see a low CPC ramp up the daily budget and keep it monitored
