Are Clickbank Products trash?

anyway, this weekend I have been using Bing text ads to promote clickbank products. But with little success, I've used the tips posted in BHW for selecting good products, and have gotten 61 hops between 4 products, but no sales. I'm trying to figure out where the issue is, as the products I've selected to promote are successful, but the people i seem to attract have no interest in buying anything. am i overreacting? i already spent 41$ on ads. Is it too early to call it a failure?

So u only got about 15 hops on each product? That's way too small to decide. Anyway, its common knowledge that a minority of things that you try and do will succeed in this game, its a bitter pill to swallow but swallow it you must.
 
i made a thread exactly like this called "why are clickbank products so trash" a guy said to me they might look cheesy but they work, and that I'll understand when i start making money with them. safe to say I now understand lol.

You might be able to see how disgusting they look but all the buyer hears is what they wanna hear like "lose 21 pounds in 3 weeks" or "attract women instantly without trying" this often can trigger their emotions enough to buy.
 
Are clickbank products trash ? Mostly yes.
At least 90 - 95% (if not 100%) of the information that will contain in any of the ebooks are freely available in the internet.

But there are lot of stupid people with money. Hundreds of people buy "Positive Energy" via internet. I mean WTF.. They deserve to be cheated.
 
I would say that the evergreen niches still work: health, make money etc

I would try to have more hops before deciding.

Sounds like you need to do research work on your customer avatar. You're not advertising to the right people. If you advertise to the right people and put your message in front of them, you will get buyers
 
1) 15 hops per product is nowhere near enough to deduce anything. You need at least a couple of hundred hops per product.


2) Direct PPC traffic rarely converts well with ClickBank products. Email lists or landing pages are the way to go. Send your PPC traffic to a landing page which warms the audience up, then send them on to the vendor sales page.


3) Be wary of promoting betting systems and anything that resembles a get-rich-quick scheme. Some of them have high refund rates. Remember, a high gravity is no indicator of refund rates!

4) At $0.67 per click, you're going to struggle to make a profit, unless your sales commission is very high. You need to be looking for niches where keywords are much less expensive than that. I never bid higher than 0.30 on Bing.

My tip is to use the CB Engine site. Look for products which are very new, and have a gravity between 5 and 20. They have low competition but are quickly gaining ground. Get in before everyone else and you have less competition!

There are a lot of crappy products, then there are ok products, then there are pretty good products.

But yes, I would say about 70-80% are shit, and most don't convert and eventually get taken down.

That's why you research first. :p
 
Most of Clickbank's products / services are garbage. There are a few good ones. Clickbank use to be good back 10+ years ago. I don't even go on there anymore, nor promote anymore of their products.
 
Clickbank is just a marketplace. Most amazon books are trash too.

I feel 80/20 rule is good also for CB: Only 20% of products are worth a try (no wonder why medium-good products are referred by 99%!)

But what I feel personally is the competition is harder than ever (too many CB courses + more publishers + CB too "easy" to join!), hence you need at least to:

- Laser-target the traffic (people are overwhelmed with offers --> more used to seek & compare before any purchase..)
- Master whatever traffic source you decide to use like a Jedi!
 
I am also kind of worried about the same issue of lack of quality products on ClickBank. Does anyone know, in general, are the sellers on ClickBank willing to give their products for review by affiliates?
 
You'll need far more hops than that to determine viability. But, as pointed out above, the cost per click is pretty high which will be a hindrance. Also yes, a lot of crap on there, but a few half decent products too.
 
There are a lot of approaches to clickbank, but frankly if you have limited experience in PPC this could be a rough road for you to walk down. Certainly it's about proper split testing, but if you're trying to direct link these on cheap PPC pricing - you are going to be very unlikely to break through.

You need to make sure you've done proper keyword research, and that you know your competition levels, and reasonable bidding practices. If you have the budget you can tear through some more testing if you want, but I think it would be best to build a proper sales funnel to push these guys into.

Don't be afraid to get your feet wet with Clickbank using parasites. It might take you a while longer to start getting some sales, but at least you won't go broke in the meantime.

What do you mean by "parasites"?
 
I always say that "Never Lose Hope". Because hope is the one thing that appreciates the person to work hard for getting achievements. I think you worked less than complete. You must have to work more hard for it.
