Hello Friends,

I want to create a classified site .

Do you think classified sites are working well ?

If yes, then what kind of classified sites perform better . Should I go for niche specific or location specific ?

Are you working on classified sites. Please share your experience .

I agree with you. I am planning to use wordpress and there are a lot of themes . So, customization is not the issue. I want to know if this business still working now or not. And what should be the approach - targeting all topics or niche specific classified site. I am digging deep and researching for it.
 
you can check for yourself one way to see is
make a list some classified sites and check their traffic
with tools like similarweb or other that shows Visits over time (=traffic), monthly visits (=traffic),etc

is you see traffic and the classified sites have ads in (banners. etc) , they may make an income

Yes, I am doing it. I am checking the traffic . And they have paid memberships . A lot of ways to make money with it.

I am focusing on specific topic . What are your suggestions for some profitable topics ? I will make it for local market so that I can reach out the businesses easily. Thanks

I got for localized classified ads to start with. Start small first since you are not sure about this.

These are good . I am thinking about service providers list like painters, electricians etc. But I need to ask them by myself . What do you think about it.

It will work but you have to create on large scale. You should targeting small localities first, rank them and then scale it.
 
Yes, classified sites can still work, but it depends on how you approach it. Niche-specific ones tend to do better because they target a focused audience, but location-based sites can also thrive if done right. I haven’t worked directly on classified sites, but I have experience with SEO and web design.
 
Classified sites still work but perform best when focused on niche or location-specific markets with targeted audiences.

yes but without traffic, volumes of traffic will not go well.
