Are Blogger.com is good place to post blogs?

yes as you know this is product of Google but according to me word press result better than blogger

Blogger.com is owned by Google.

Wordpress is best blogging software for an online business in long term.

Blogspot is good for practicing your SEO skills if you're new to SEO...

I had manage to rank a couple of my blogger blogs for a few keywords...

but the ranking is not so stable...one day my blogs are at page one, next few weeks it goes down to pages 4, then back to pages one again when I posts new articles..

I also make a few cent a day with blogspot + adsense

yes they are... Google never say that it favors it's own on others but it's truth...

BTW if you talking about making full site then get your own... blogger or any other not worth long time...

Blogger is frequently used for spamming and because of this, even Google doesn't care as much to rank a Blogspot website without a TLD. People here will tell you to use a self-hosted Wordpress website, but before you do, here are a few things to consider:

Advantages of Blogger

  • Blogger is more secure than Wordpress (assuming you keep your email and password safe).
  • Blogger's servers have excellent uptime (it is owned by Google, after all).
  • Blogger can be customised to look more like a legitimate website (see my thread at http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...it-make-your-blog-look-like-real-website.html for a free Blogger conversion kit).
  • Blogger can be a great place to practice your CSS, HTML, and SEO skills.

Disadvantages of Blogger

  • You don't own your website even with a TLD. This is stated in their TOS.
  • You can't use plugins, which can be very useful for SEO and security.
  • Blogger has a bad reputation for being spam infested.
  • Blogger is limited in design, even with my Blogger Conversion Kit, although you would be surprised about how far you can push it.
  • Your website can be deleted for violations Blogger's TOS

Advantages of Wordpress

  • You can use plugins.
  • You own the website, so your website will not be deleted (unless your host gets complaints).
  • You have many templates, which you can customise by using a child-theme, to choose from.
  • Wordpress websites are easier to rank (for me, at least).
  • You can learn what it's like being a real webmaster with real responsibilities.

Disadvantages of Wordpress

  • You have to pay for hosting and a domain name.
  • It's prone to hacks, although plugins and updates can prevent this.
  • Depending on your host's server, you may experience a lot of downtime (not much, but it's still noticeable).
  • You need to keep regular backups of your website (files and SQL database) in case something happens.
  • It's more complicated than Wordpress, although it's still easy to use.

After reading this, you can decide whether or not you want to start off with Blogger or a self-hosted Wordpress.

Yes it is good to post content there as it is owned by Google. Chances are high to get better results.

You're right. And most of them are from spam blogs and abandoned content. The people at Google says their search engine likes fresh content but they seem to be ranking blogspot blogs that hasn't been updated in years.

From what I've seen, blogger/blogspot blogs ranks extremely well - yes even with sub-par and sometimes even garbage content. So I definitely believe and know that G favors their own platform. But you had better backup every single thing you publish there whether you use it or not because G is known to delete many blogger blogs without warning or appeal. Now overall for long-term stability, I'd recommend wordpress.org over blogger, but I definitely would use blogger as some tool in my website and traffic marketing strategy - even if it's just for a big backlink.

Blogger is good place to learn things such as web design

I agree with Zwielicht, both platforms have their own benefits and disadvantages. Personally I prefer Wordpress for my blog but that is only because of its easy UI. When it comes to being favoured by Google, I still yet to find proof that Blogger blogs are favoured more than Wordpress.

yes blogger is good for making blogs but without backlinks, its useless.
i found a blog made on blogger and that's looking really nice.
www . yesiamblogger .com
can't say about ranking because i don't have any blog at blogger.
