Are annotations worth using?

Right now I'm currently using annotations on my video saying something along the lines of "Subscribe for more videos" or "Don't forget like like and share" etc.

I know this type of stuff helps with getting subscribers.. But what I'm wondering is.. does it make the video less sharable? Like... especially by media sources?? Like maybe they think it's unprofessional.. and that they don't want to share the video on their site when it has annotations.

Yes they are worth besides those generic ones you could use them to transfer users to other videos too.

prefer using the new endcards

I use the new end cards and its getting me roughly around 2k extra views a day. I just send them to a video which has a good CPM to make sure I cash in on them.
