Software wallets are safe for the most part unless you connect them to random sites

All same even android ios or desktop. Only yourself can help to prevent your assets from hack

How it even make it safer? You better get hardware wallet

Both android and ios are pretty secure for the most part (for example let’s say clipboard data sharing between apps). You will almost never find a zero day crypto hack of any kind just because you are using a mobile phone, unless you are using a jailbroken/rooted device.

Most of the time, the problem is with the user, and not the operating system. In general do not click a suspicious looking link from someone you don’t know. Do not install any software that is not listed in the related app store.


Also, talking specifically about crypto.. Never ever login to a dApp unless you know the authors/company behind it. That is the number one reason why people get their wallets stolen.


Another thing to keep in mind is to be diligent while surfing on your mobile. Always check the owner of SSL certificate if you are using a browser to connect to a dapp that you know about. Anyone could have an ssl certificate for free. Knowing who the owner is, is very important. Somehow, this is surprisingly difficult to do from mobile browsers, i dunno why. That is the reason why I prefer using a desktop device for any kind of dApp.

I feel sorry for aged people who get scammed by fake ads on top of search results for this.

It is a scientific fact that aging often results in lesser cognitive skills. I feel more sorry that young folks are also getting scammed. Because, scientifically the younger people must have better cognitive skills as compared to aged people. However, there is a saying that there is a sucker born every minute. Also there are some or many young folks who are just too lazy to even do a simple 2 minutes research using Google. However, such people may even lack effective cognitive skills, hence being unable to differentiate between advertisements in Google search and the organic results and even end up clicking on an advertisement in Google search which could be an advertisement by a scammer and then they get scammed. Many people are too greedy as well, to the extent that their greed over-rules their ability to think effectively.
For aged people, we can understand that they may even be lesser internet savvy. However, young or younger people getting scammed on such a regular basis, is always a thing to wonder about.
As long as some or many people remain internet illiterates and remain adamant to learn, as long as there is greed in people, these internet scammers, unfortunately, will keep their business models going on, with continuous upgrades to their strategies and techniques.

Just that most Trojans are written for Android devices (if we are talking about mobile devices). If you compare Android with Windows, then yes Android is safer. But they are both inferior to IOS

Mobile isn't safer than PC. It's a lot easier to make sure your PC is safe. We have better tools for it and a better understanding of how to do it. You're also a lot more likely to lose your phone or have it stolen from you than your PC. When your phone has a problem, you have to send the whole thing for repair. It's just not safer than a PC. However, if you're a dummy, everything is unsafe. So don't use the Internet unless you know what you're doing.

Globally, Android has 3/4 of the market share. In India, for example, Android currently dominates the market with 95.1 per cent market share while Apple iOS has 3.93 per cent share.
Hence, scammers target Android users and create malware for Android devices rather than for Apple. It is not that Apple devices are more secured. For scammers, it is business for them, no matter if their business is illegitimate or illegal, but they also obviously will operate their businesses in a way that they target their widest possible audience. Therefore, they do not waste their time coding to target Apple devices, they target Android devices, in order to manage their R&D and coding time more effectively and also to increase their profitability.
But, it is really good that cyber security and antivirus companies are also doing their R&D and releasing regular updates to patch malware.
