Are all paid-for articles this bad? example--

This seems like someone in elementary school trying to fill a word quota for a class paper. Its awful and unusable in my eyes. Maybe if I didnt speak any english it would be acceptable, but I do.

Ideas jump around from sentence sentence, extraneous words and lack of pronouns make this almost impossible to read. I am new, I will admit that. But I have 12 pages of this garbage to fix.

Can anyone point me to a service that produces output that looks like an average person wrote it?

With articles, you get what you pay for. Many of the cheaper services will deliver results similar to the paragraph you posted, but there are plenty of good writers out there - they just charge more.

EDIT: having said that, your example does seem exceptionally bad, even for a non-native writer. Perhaps it's been spun, but certainly not with a decent program like TBS.

For a 500 word article, usually $10-$25, rising to $100-$300 for specialist topics.

Sadly, most of the $5 articles that I've purchased are horrible like your example. Sometimes you can catch a good native English speaking writer on Fiverr for a while. However, once word gets out, you'll be waiting a very long time for the next article or the gig will just disappear. Good writers burn out when they're writing for $5/article and start to cut corners or even outsource some of the work to Odesk.

I found a good writer on Fiverr a couple weeks ago. I ordered several articles from her. She delivered fast and the writing was decent. So I ordered 4 more articles. None of them passed copyscape. They were cut and paste jobs. She's paused her gig, never sent me the last article and it's past the deadline. Another one bites the dust, I suppose.

And then you have to watch out for the people on Fiverr or online who claim to be from the United States, but the article is obviously written by a foreigner. I'm not knocking foreign workers, I just want my articles to read like they were written in American English. I ordered from 2 Fiverr sellers this week who had United States accounts. The articles were shockingly bad. There is no way that an American wrote them. Horrendous grammar, poor English. They also tried to sell me an bulk pack of articles from their service. So they were outsourcing the work to foreigners. They should disclose this in their Fiverr gig to avoid disappointment.

It's hard to find a good writer. I'm just writing my own articles for now, even though it's time consuming.

After trying over 60 different writers, I've had enough of the hacks. I know that you get what you pay for. The quality of articles that I want for my website would cost $50 -$100 each, so I'll just have to do them myself for now.

I use blackpayman his work is really good and prices are cheap as well.
For more specialist stuff that I need researched I use one of my own writers at $4-$5 per 100 words.

That just takes you to mid-range, if you want journalist quality then you'll pay alot more.

Yup you really do get what you pay for. I started buying 7-8$ 500 word articles and I've found them to be perfectly suitable for my tastes, not many bad points.

But that article is pretty bad.. I've bought a few like that in the past.. yikes.
