Are 9gag "upvotes" profitable?

I noticed it's possible to do automatic upvotes on 9gag and several similar sites. Is there any good way to monetize this?

Has anyone successfully earned decent money via 9gag or similar sites?

I am curious in this question too. I read a few posts mostly on Quora, it doesn't seem to bring big money to anyone, plus watermarks are removed so what

Actually, I'm interested in upvotes too.
But what do you mean by watermark in this case?

They can be profitable for "Shut up and take my money" kind of posts. Also once I saw post about girl who make county balls and sell them, she got many sales I believe (according to comment section/facebook page). You'll need 300 upvotes in short period of time and you'll hit "Trending", and from there you will start to get real views... Generally visitors of 9Gag are not into buying mood most of the time.
