Are 500 +/- Word Articles Too Much?

I've been going after article marketing for the last few days to help promote a CB product I came across and all the articles I've written are all about 500+/- words in length and don't know if I should submit them or not.

I just sat at my pc, wrote the articles from a 'single parents' point of view, covered what I think are the emotional strings (leaving kids w/baby-sitter, living check-to-check, always struggling w/bills, today's economy, etc., etc.) and why I think "X-Product" would be the ideal choice for them to start a home business w/little to no upfront costs...and I'm not sure if I'd be wasting my time in uploading them because it's been ingrained into most of us that "250-300 worded articles" are ideal...

Of course, I could just upload them and see what happens, but my main issue is that no matter how much I try to be brief and to the point, the shorter worded articles just come across like I'm selling them something!

If anyone here has any suggestions, I'm all ears as I need to make some cash by the end of January...preferably sooner! ;-)

Articles with 350 to 400 words is better for SEO

Articles with word count between 350 and 400 have the best click through rates. Some people think that presenting a link to the reader quickly after 250 words will make them click it easily. In reality however, very few readers will click through a really short article.

I have written 100's of articles at Ezine and 350-400 word articles have always had the best CTR.

Keeping them under 400 words will not help ranking them on SE's. Your first goal is to get your articles some visibility on SE's. Once the articles start ranking well, you may want to do some split testing to find out what your niche readers prefer: short or long articles.

'Short' may not work all the time. You got to be able to do some testing before you get anything 100% right. So you know what to do: Fire and aim

500 WORDARTICLES ARE JUST FINE. Do not just sit on the articles after writing them, go out and submit them

500 word article is fine, find top article submission directories and submit your articles so that you would get good traffic.

i also usually submit 400/word articles, i find it best for articles.

4 paragraphs of 100 words to the work just fine, but also 500/words is good.

but for my opinion 400 words should be just fine
