I have done few niche relevant 301s during last few months and I now see main anchors in search console related to redirected domains (such as brand and naked)

Should I worry about it?

How are you doing those 301?
Can you put more specific example of those anchors?
At first glance, it doesn't make sense to me.

Let’s say my website is mywebsite .com
I redirected exampledomain .com from registrar
Now I see as top linking text in mywebsite search console: exampledomain, exampledomain . com, etc

The redirected domain is niche relevant but its brand means nothing and I’m wondering if this is something negative to mywebsite anchor profile

301s pass backlinks, anchors and penalties. Pretty much everything. It's mentioned literally in every thread about 301 redirects. And there are hundreds of those.

My 301s got decent backlinks but not optimized keywords.
What do you recommend to me? Keep as it is? Create more branded links to mywebsite to improve ratio? Dismiss 301s and build a PBN? Thank you

Keep it as is. There will always be branded anchors with every redirect and it makes perfect sense too.

Of course they do, I remember ranking my homepage for a keyword on one of my pages by doing a 301 from that page to the home page.
Don't ask me why. I was bored that day.
