Archor text & backlinks (question)

Hello.

I am currently building backlinks for my webshop, and my main keyword is a 2 word phrase like: "break point"
while im getting even closer to pos 1 for this keyword i aint getting anywhere for the word "point".
Do i need to make backlinks with the archor text "point" or can i just keep on doing it like i have been doing, and wait some more sinse the keyword is much more competive?

Keep what you are doing. It will be very hard for the word 'point' (alone).

So you need to see the competition for that keyword. Keep what you doing. If your site performs really well and the competition is not hard, you will get traffic only for the second (or first) keyword.

well i dont just want for 1 keyword, im on page2 atm for the "point" example

If you want to rank for point, then you need a ton of IBL's with the anchor text as point.

If you don't vary your link anchors though, you're a prime candidate for a google slapping, so be sure to mix in a few 2 word, 3 word, etc.

I've been sandboxed on a couple of occasions for too many of the same IBL link anchors in too short a period, with too little variation. One site took almost a year to climb out and the other is still trapped.

well i add 10 backlinks each day, 1 edu. 3 high pr, 6 normal comment links
