Archived must be indexed or not?

Yearly and monthly Archives of blog post must be blocked through robots or not? what's would be the impact of indexing them ?
please share your opinion..

If they're the only way to reach your older content, probably not, tho arguably you could rely on the sitemap + individual internal linking on the best performers to make Google explore these pages
If you've got a pagination, i would say to leave them blocked

Also you should hide the url of your website

I usually block archives from indexing and don't have them accessible. Ideally your internal linking should be relevant and extensive enough for older articles to be accessible.
