Hey guys I own an arcade type website which if you don't know is just a website full of flash games that users can play straight in the browser for free. Anyway, I have managed to get ranked well enough to get plenty of traffic, but Adsense is just not cutting it as the payout is TINY per click.

Basically, I have been trying to come up with some new ideas for monetizing this site. I was thinking of trying out CB with some ebooks that teach you how to hack gaming consoles to play games for free, or other CB offers.

I could try some CPA networks for online games but it seems like the payout would be rather small for these as most pay around 50% when a referred player buys an optional $15 pro account.

I also have taken a look at AdBrite and looks like it could be good if and only if I get lucky and someone bids high.

Does anyone else have any ideas? Or do you think one of these is good? I am really just looking for some insight.

Find out who is playing your games. Take some polls and get to know the people coming in. Also, after getting to know who, what, when and where then do 30 day intervauls of new products. Don't just leave a product because it is making some money. You won't have enough info if your optimized until going through several products. Hell, you might find out they are a bunch of old ladies.

Oh, on the polls make one of the answers like ( I don't know dude) to get the feel if they are young. Make sure the question helps you identify their age, gender and income levels without being intrusive.

I have built up and sold a few arcade type sites, like victoriavain is saying, you first need to discover who's playing your games.

One of my sites was primarily being visited by middle-aged women (basically computer illiterate people). So I hit them up with a "anti-virus warning" pop-up that looked like it was a firefox error. Made $15 per sale on that and was doing ~ 7-10 sales a day when I sold the site. BUT, this method would not work on a younger crowd of internet savvy gamers, know your visitors :)

Make sure ad placement is good
Use Multiple networks
optimize pages for the best paying KW
Use adsense competitive ad filter to get rid of cheaper clicks

I own a few arcades and this helped me. Also do you trade traffic? traffic trading can help if you do it properly.

Good ad placement and a keyword optimized description along with keyword op. tags should increase your earnings a lot.

Have you looked at the arcade game download offers from your CPA network? They have games like Frogger, Pacman, and other classics that pay around $2.50 - $3.00 per download. If you don't see them on your network, go to OfferVault.com and you'll find tons.

That is funny, you know, I had a feeling that was the case on many sites like that. I know school teachers, nurses and such... all middle aged woman (including my mother) sit around and play video games.
