Hey kids,

tell me if this has the slighest chance of working. I was thinking of placing a Zedo pop-under ad on a website as a publisher. This pays about 1/10 of a cent per impression. Then sending US based traffic at the site at a cost of about $630 per million impressions.

The math: per impression with purchased traffic, this cost .00063 dollars per visit. Each impression with Zedo creates .001 of revenue leaving behind a sexy profit of .00037 dollars, this generates $370 profit per million redirects.

What am I missing?

You will probably get banned from the advertising network. a million impressions will def raise a flag. Especially if they don't convert.

They are pop-under ads, not standard display ones. I can't imagine the difference. They will sit behind their browser regardless to be seen later. The conversion on a pop-under ad that a advertiser pays 2 per 1000 for is pretty slim already.

Besides the ban...

The stupid part of this is that NOT every popunder will get popunder.

Browsers block now popunders, so only way for popunder to reveal is action of your visitor. So the bounces do not count. Since from popunders over 99% visitors are bounces, your business does not work.
