Hello,
I never worked with Arab market with SEO but one client asked me a quote for that job.

Now I really don't know how to proceed. First of all it's necessary to translate the site from english but for link building I really don't know how to proceed.

Any help? Someone that worked on arab SEO serps?

I've had no experience either but I'd maybe have a look in the marketplace and check out what results people are getting on foreign sites. Hopefully someone will be able to shed some more light on this for you though.
 
What about using english content for link building and just slipping your arabic KW somewhere in the content? I tried it for someone and it worked good.

This sounds plausible.

@OP I'd look into their local social networks, the really niche ones. Then use those for your tier 2 links, or at least include them in your profile.
 
Does the site use the Arabic language? Things could get quite complex as you will have a hard time figuring their competition out.
 
The idea was to translate the site and do some backlinks from local arab market. The problem is that I really don't know where to start :S
 
I would suggest you get the site fully translated to arabic and host the site on servers located there. Now for your articles just pay a legal translation service for the translation as these people are pros and are cheap for 500-1000 word articles (legal documents are massive).

So I suggest you go all out arabic :)

I do SEO for Arabic sites in the financial niche . It's not as easy as it looks and it takes the same work as any other SEO related task.
 
I'm from Lebanon and I've tried ranking stuff locally. Well, it's not so different from regular SEO. You just have to add local directories to your link building list. If you need any help about Arabic SEO, feel free to contact me.
 
I am from Egypt, and I don't really believe people saying Arabic market is like the English market !

I believe it will be very easy to rank websites in Arabic market, because SEO is a new concept there. Unless you are going after a brand ( Rayban ) or Big Store Keywords ( Clothes, Shoes...etc ) you should be able to rank anything easily. A lot easier than USA or UK market
 
Didn't have any Arab client, but if I were you I would start with analyzing the competition's backlink profile.
