april 20th mobile update - Does it affect backlinks?

I have no idea since when the community here become so cocky but the OP have a big point here and has to be response with celerity because is an important issue for many sites.
Based on what I've read, I understood that there will be targeted the sites that doesn't have Mobile Friendly codes ... based on Google statistics are like 30% and I'm sure that most of the sites that were built before 2008 didn't had the Mobile codes included.
If will be something related to BackLinks ... this is happening each month on a big or smaller scale and this should not affect you if you "play" the game smart.
So try to check the codes in your money sites and if you consider to include the mobile friendly codes (based on each platform there are like 10-20 lines to be included) then you should not have any problems with this new release that will happen this night based on my information.
About the rest that posted above that "SEO is dead" you should start to earn some money from SEO and then talk.

In my opinion the update will affect the backlinks. So be sure that you have them mobile-friendly and with a very good loading speed either way your ranking will go down :\

In order for your site to NOT be hit by the mobile friendly update you must be on your site using a mobile phone at midnight.
Don't say I didn't warn you people!!

All we can do is speculate.

Lets just wait and see what happens.
If you wanna be safe give all your pages a mobile friendly design.
Most authority websites that have a high value for your seo probably already have a mobile design.

yep. Seo is dead. Mr. here since 2011 : )

true that , SEO is dead , damn don't you guys have time to read an article about the upcoming google update ? definitely looks like you don't , well it won't have anything to do with backlinks rather than the fact whether your website its responsive or not , if you dont know what this means google it but in a nutshell according to wikipedia :
Responsive web design (RWD) is an approach to web design aimed at crafting sites to provide an optimal viewing experience—easy reading and navigation with a minimum of resizing, panning, and scrolling—across a wide range of devices (from desktop computer monitors to mobile phones)
anyway no it has nothing to do with backlinks

Yes, there was no update yet. Should that limit when we'll start asking intelligent questions? I don't think so. It's fun to craft theories and see if our predictions are correct. lol.

I do agree with this though: you can write whatever you want. We're entitled to our own opinions, but it just sucks to see someone asking a legit question and get replied with stupid ass comments.

If you fail to realize how pointless and waste of time this thread is (right now) then there is nothing left to talk about.
The only reason im still here answering because you started to taunt me.

p.s.: This is my last reply, we are going offtopic.
