I signed up to be an Amazon Affiliate, and I'm now able to log in and apparently promote products, but the last email I received from them was about 3 weeks ago stated the following:

"Thank you for applying to the Amazon Associates Program. You'll receive another email from us officially welcoming you to the Program once we've reviewed your Web site. You have been granted full access to Associates Central--the online resource area for Amazon Associates. It provides a complete range of features for exclusive use by our Associates."

So it seems I'm supposed to be waiting for a confirmation email, but I haven't received anything and it's been 3 weeks.

Is there anyway to check whether or not I was approved? Or do I just need to wait long? And also.. should I even bother with using the affiliate links or anything?

The website is still pretty new and does not have many posts at all (maybe a few). But there is nothing bad on it. I'm not sure if that will affect whether or not I get approved.

I'm pretty sure it takes a while for them to review you, they have to review your site to make sure that they want their products promoted on it.

They usually accept in couple of days. Maybe you should contact them.

Cheers

You will be accepted only after you start sending traffic and make your first sales.

Yeah Now they approve after the first sale. So just start using their ads. I think you can find more details about this in their FB fan page than Amazon site.

Your site will be reviewed after the first sale. That's new rule on Amazon affilite program
