What annoys me is that if you use a different cable not apple they keep showing you the stupid warning of accessories not supported! At least the none Apple accessories have not yet had a single tear and it’s been two years.

It scores 1585 single core and 3898 multi core on geekbench 5, the ipad air version has a slightly higher multicore speed of 4182. The M1 should get a 59xx score at a minimum.

I have a gaming laptop with a really good cpu I can edit videos with, however I only have maybe 2 hours at most if I really optimize settings and use a low resource linux distro. The i7-8750H I have is a gaming class cpu with a single core score of 982 and multicore of 4498. Having even better performance but with a laptop that lasts 9 times as long would be worth paying $1,249.

I doubt this new processor is better than Intel per dollar, but I could be wrong.

It's an ARM processor. Same shit in your phone, just bigger. Even memory is limited, like a phone.

This is an oversized mobile phone. A chromebook with a better processor.

It's 66% faster than my current laptop while using a fraction of the energy, with 16GB of ram and 512GB NVME at only $1,249 storage it's a good deal.

They are getting more native programs and have Rosetta 2 which translates x86 programs to run on ARM

I feel intel processors are better. Apple should go with the i9 11th Gen processor for the top-end variant to make it killer.

Yeah lol. They ALWAYS tear near the part where the cable goes in the phone. I got one charger from AliExpress now for like 3$ and it lasted over a year now

It's just I would get a 66% improvement in processing power and a 900% improvement in battery life by switching to the macbook air from my current gaming laptop.

In the Mac Pro or (possibly) iMac, maybe... But look at the Macbook + MBP benchmarks, those high end Intel chips thermal throttle way before you can actually use any of their performace.

It's something like a 120mm^2 package size, the cpu in the Mac Pro has a 4294mm^2 package size, they have a lot of room to work with to make an ARM chip replacement for the Mac Pro

This is what I currently encounter , their charging cable on my iphone7+ , the cable is connect to iMac . Always got intermittance charging, I have play around the position of the cable than can charge the iphone from the iMac.
I even changed few cables as I have spare iphone charging cables and mind u , all are origin out from apple still the same

I kinda suspect is iTune so I check updates , is already have the latest update.
