hello about to buy apple laptop confused between these two which one is better ??

I'd wait as well, maybe they will make something better for the price. There is a lot to be desired in the 'high priced' macs, from display (check its ability to differentiate shades of gray), to lower processing power. I'm not a hater. I own both PC and Mac. Mac is slipping though tbh. Too much on advertising and not enough on actual product. Hopefully they take this to heart and produce something really 'different' as they did in the past.

I currently have a 15" Macbook Pro and I'll be waiting the 3 months for the Air.
If you must buy it now, it all depends on what you need. If you're just doing SEO stuff that requires an browser then the air is the way to go. The air also has no problems whatsoever running Parallels (virtualization software for your SEO tools, most of them are windows only). So if you're just doing that most of the time and you like portability, the air is the way to go.
If it will be just sitting on your desk or bed I'd either recommend getting a 13" pro if price is an issue and getting a monitor and one of these http://twelvesouth.com/products/bookarc/ or just getting a 15" Macbook Pro.
In either case, if you can, wait. In about 3 months there should be a whole new line of both Air and Pros.

Waiting is the best stuff ! macbook pro is gonna be more thin.... much better... with the cd drive ...being completely thin ! if you still plan to buy one is think the macbook pro 13.3 is better option on all fronts, you tend to use he cd drive , even if not... it is of ease or utility. Air is Just like a netbook variant.... macbook pro seems to meet all the stuff.... if use a macbook pro 15" early 2011.... so that what my view on it !
Why would you bother with waiting? They have an incremental upgrade every 6 months and refresh every year, at this rate you'll be waiting forever. Get the Air. MacBooks in general have a great resale value so you can always sell it for probably around 60 - 80% of the price you paid for it.

I have had both and the Air win hands down, in both performance and portability. My macbookpro ran slow and clunky compared to the air I have now, because of its solid state drive. Only downsides are not as much HD space and no CD drive. Both arent major issues though. Well worth the extra speed and lightness.
