I’m still rocking an iPhone 8, and I don’t see how it won’t have enough processing power in the foreseeable future.
There is very little reason to upgrade nowadays.

Mainly it's due to Social Status or just wanting to try something new. I've recently purchased the latest Samsung Flagship Phone, Watch & buds but now that I have got myself an Apple Mini 2021 16GB I have decided to switch and get myself back into the Apple eco system so I'll be buying all 3 products from apple in additional to latest tablet as well. Waste of money I know but likely I won't upgrade for another 3 generations afterwards. I will also most likely donate my existing phone to a family member, sell the watch and keep the buds as backup (After all they are basically doing the same job, connecting via BT etc).

I’ve had an iPhone 7 ever since it was launched and I still haven’t found the need for an upgrade. Phone is still pretty fast and has a decent battery life. I’m obviously not talking about the clowns who need an upgrade every year when a newer version is launched. But for a first time phone owner, the durability of Apple alone makes it a good choice.

I was waiting for a normal battery in another 12 iPhone. And the mini versions do not hold the battery at all...

idk, shit comes in different color and sizes
upgrading once every ~5 years is a great feeling
However, if you are buying it yearly, unless you are paying with your own hard earned money
on behalf of all the tax payers here, a big fuck you

IPhone 7 watch is disappointing too no anxiety feature, no stress tracking fitbit sense is suddenly making sense to buy. The new phone is good for camera lovers, besides that’s there’s nothing new so a word to Apple fan boys wait for next phone
