Hi all. I have the offer of buying the an iPhone via that apple replacement scam thing for $300. What is your opinion on this? Is it legal? Can the person using such a service get in trouble? Can the phones be unlocked? Etc. Any comments or inputs you might have, feel free to let me know :)

I wrote iPod instead of iPhone in the subject. Stupid :D If a mod could change it, it'd be much appreciated. Thanks!

Not that much worried about imei getting blocked, there's apparently a way around it via unlocking and jailbreaking the device. Wat worries me is that it's really a fraud, so it might pull some serious consequences.
