Apple iPod replacement thing. Legal?

Hi all. I have the offer of buying the an iPhone via that apple replacement scam thing for $300. What is your opinion on this? Is it legal? Can the person using such a service get in trouble? Can the phones be unlocked? Etc. Any comments or inputs you might have, feel free to let me know

I know the method. A stolen cc, serial and imei is used. Beware

thats true, these are carded and apple will bill the card the user used,
how every there is a loophole and a few are doing it, but beware, phone imei will be banned.

Not that much worried about imei getting blocked, there's apparently a way around it via unlocking and jailbreaking the device. Wat worries me is that it's really a fraud, so it might pull some serious consequences.
