My Android/Google Play Experience
Got my first account banned for IP/copyright infringement. Why? Not exactly sure since they don't tell you. Only thing I can figure is on one of them it was too similar to a baseball team logo (I'd stay away from any graphics remotely similar to sports team's).
Had about 12 apps making about $2,000-$3,000 a month solely off of admob revenue. Got bored with it and never ramped it up.
All I did was buy some installs and reviews and the rest took care of itself.
After my account got banned my ad revenue slowly went down since I wasn't getting new installs. I modified 2 of my best apps and added them to my other business account and my revenues are back up to over $2K a month from it. Now if I would just make more when I have some down time I could probably get even bigger revenues.
I've found Android to be easy to make money off of. It's just a matter of finding apps that are profitable. I just happened to get lucky on my first few apps and it was easy to churn out more apps similar to them.
Google bans accounts easily so be careful. They're really frustrating to deal with since Google and customer service seem to be mutually exclusive unless your buying ads from them.
Total investment price per app was around $40.
