First of all thanks again for this thread BB.

1.) Do you need to have a company for this? If no would you recommend having one? I am not the type of person who wants his name to be visible to the public. ;)

2.) What kind of apps bring you the most money atm? I can't imagine that 1 time use apps are profitable.

3.) Do you use any other method of promoting your apps besides paying for app downloads?

regards,
D
as to 1) - on Google Play - you can make up any name as your company name - no need to have an actual company. For Apple - your real name will be shown if you don't set up the account with a company and they do ask for tax IDs and all that. Pretty much for all the android stores you can go with any name you prefer, real or fake or something you like - "DeniX3" should do if thats what you want it to be. BUT if you start making more money (hopefully) check with your local tax people what will be better for you in order to pay less taxes legally. In most countries companies are taxed a bit less then personal income plus you can write expenses off

guys, is it worth it to pay for reviews? I'm thinking to shift my advertising budget a little bit for paid reviews/submissions but i wonder if it's worth it because afaik typical app users dont even go to app review sites? if it's worth it, any recommendation on what sites should I get my app reviewed?

beside the above question, i wonder if you guys know the best fiverr gigs and other sources for buying installs and reviews? Because you know some of the gigs look too spammy and obvious and im actually too afraid to use their services somehow. also, what's the safest "bet" to buy ratings and reviews? Let's say i want to dripfeed 1000 installs and 50 reviews over the next 30 days, is it considered too aggressive or safe? Thanks.

Best source for buying cheap, safe and slow reviews - microworkers. I am using it.

safest ratio for installs and reviews - 100 installs/2-3 Review & ratings.

Hey BigBuddy, thx for the thread.
I was wondering. You always mention Chartboost and Vungle.
I know they are cool, lots of positive reviews, etc.

But did you try Airpush? They seem to promise 10-50$ cpm and they pay weekly, not Net-60 as Vungle and its hard to wait 60 days to get paid.
Same to StartApp, they promise even 50$ cpm, lol.

Did you try any of those?
Getting paid weekly is quite awesome, apps can be scaled quite quickly.
What do you think?
Thanks.

I have tested every options and finally settled with chartboost and vungle. Trust me and do not waste time with others just for the sake of weekly payment, you will loose $$$ at the end ofthe month.

bigbuddy thanks for answer! How about buying reviews on some of the well known app review sites? is it worth it? Thanks.

Most of them are not safe and scammers. I have my private source who will not be selling through websites. They charge $3 per review.

Note: Reviews will have impact on keywords , only when it is accompanied with sufficient installs, otherwise dont buy review and ratings.

Great post by the way!
I was wondering how do you do the re-skinning, do you do it yourself or hire someone on freelancer?
thanks.

microworkers seem to ask about $0.5 for each download+install+review (I chose "mobile applications" for campaign category). are you using different campaign category? Because $0.5 for just a rating and download count seems too expensive to me (for comparison, I pay less for appbrain campaign where i can get real users downloading my app. maybe they wont review but still..)

Good stuff, I'ma use the App Code to do all of this. But, do the reskin as I heard it doesn't cost much and save money. Maybe use the App Empire too but I'll see.

Hello,

Thanks for the information, i am left with one question.
I saw some reactions of having a US App Store (Developer) account can be good.

Why is that? I thought that if i would launch an app it would be worldwide.
Also i'm based in Europe, so if i make a developer account it only comes in my country?

Why is it needed to have a US Developer account.
And how to you change describtion of app for multiple languages/countries?

Best regards.

Only reason to have usa account is to make your app live, fast in usa. Normally when your app is approved by apple, it will be live only in your country. It takes 24 to 48 hours to show up in all countries.

There will be always first week boost by apple for new apps. so when you get live in usa, you get more installs than any country.

And how to you change describtion of app for multiple languages/countries?

you can find this option in your developer account.

Guys, only pick applications where you do not have to change any of the content. The only things you want to change are the graphics and sound. I made the mistake of reskinning a app where I had to change a lot of the words and it was a nightmare.

On another note, what do you think of admob big buddy? or anyone with experience. I have two apps in the app store and I am trying to figure out how to maximize my earnings. Should I switch to Charboost and Vungle only?

admob fetch more revenue in terms of apps than gaming apps. admob working great only in particular gaming sub category - kids. I guess you know the reason.

I have more questions if it's ok.

1.) Is the content of your apps in english or do you translate the apps into different languages?

2.) If so do you have to submit each app with a different language or how does it work?

3.) about App description: Do you translate this for some other languages? Have you done a test?

Big buddy, Thanks for all your help in this thread. I would like to know what you think about reselling app once they start producing income. I think this might be more profitable. My downloads are starting to taper off and I am making around $40 a day with my apps but I think I can make much more building a portfolio of a few profitable apps and then flipping them. Do you have any experience with this? any tips?
