May add a little insight from my exp:
- Affordable design can be sourced from designcloud or 99designs. But to get really good design in a low budget is extremely hard.
- $2k revenue per month is not too much, but hopefully to keep us afloat during making the next Flappy Bird
Be positive.
- Fiverr is not a guy here. It's kind of a freelance site for small gigs, usually at $5. Google it.

I second that, had good result buying source code and reskinning app making min $60 per day. Most of the source code comes with crappy graphics, hire a decent UI Designer and put some creativity into it.

. I have a full time job so $2k/month from my apps is just extra income for rent and bills. My goal is $10k/month from my apps. Do you mind sharing about your apps revenue?I just checked out designcloud and 99designs. They are kinda expensive IMO $500/screen. Is there anywhere I can find decent designer for $100 or less for mobile apps?

I hire freelancer via Elance. Scanned through 50+ proposal and found a very good designer with a good rate.

Hey Big Buddy ( or anyone that has experience with apps) My first app is almost complete and ready to go into the app store. I would like to know if you have any tips on keyword research and ASO. I am using Sensor Tower but I am not sure how to determine what a good keyword is vs what isn't.
Do you know of any free or paid resources I can use to educate my self? I will look around and come back with anything that I find but if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Dowload the aso guide. It could be helpful till some extent. Sensor tower can spy the competitior kws, but its not exact. Just add the keywords related to your app. Your app can be show up in search, once you have good number of downloads, review and ratings. Till then it does nt matter for ios.

I have some android applications. One with more than 1000 installations per day. I generate just 5 dollars a day, with admob banner and airpush, I'm not happy and want to switch to another platform, Might I recommend another?

Thats what i say, android apps generating less revenue when compare to ios apps. But I may be wrong. check the geo from wheer you receive installs. Tier 1 countries fetch more revenue.
For example if your app receives 1000 installs per day from tier 1 countries in ios, admob revenue alone will be $60 - $80 per day. If your app is related to game, use chartboost and vungle.
I am launching a game app in google play next week to test the waters. Will post the updates later.

I there, I'm back with android app development. I've been making apps for a long time and since I've jsut started my summer holidays I will have more time to develope things.
I think that it is interesting to build an email list with your apps, you could get thousands of mails just by asking for them, in one of my apps I'm testing this feature.
Then you can make money by selling them things related witht he niche of your app, or send them the links of you other apps in other to grow the community around your apps. Having an email list is always interesting!!!! --> $$$$$
